Airmail - Your Mail With You App Reviews

Great App!

Much better than the stock Mail app. Just 2 things to think about for improvement: 1. Making app font size match that of the system its on. 2. Faster/more consistent syncing, especially when documents are downloaded.

Must have app. Essential

By far the most practical mail app available, specially if you are using mail for work. The most selling point for me was the ability to create custom signature l. Ability to track you sent email whether its been read or not and the integration with third-party apps. Worth every penny.

Love it!

Ive used many other Mail apps including Outlook and this is the only one that I have stayed with. Fantastic app and highly recommend.

Extremely buggy - Useless and Arrogant Support

I had high hopes for this app but it fails with flying colours at the most basic functionality. Notifications dont work properly at all!! If you receive an email and check it from another app; the new email badge doesnt refresh in Airmail. So youre always thinking you still have a new message when you actually dont. Whenever you send a message from Airmail, it creates an unread message in Apple Mail which is extremely annoying and wrong. No other email app exhibits this buggy behaviour. These are only two examples of the ample amount of bugs plaguing Airmail. Trying to communicate with customer support is a nightmare and the attitude is careless, incompetent, and arrogant. The customer support rep even told me to request a refund from Apple because he couldnt be bothered. Stay away from this buggy app. It may have tons of features but it also comes with tons of problems. The developer should take a cue from others and do some serious quality control before releasing their rubbish. I highly recommend both Spark and Outlook. Both work flawlessly.

Costs a lot more than the money you paid

Regretting buying this after seeing how much private information the app demands. To use it with Outlook accounts you must give it permission to "access your name, gender, display picture, contacts, and friends" in your Outlook account and, incredibly, "access your info anytime"! Similarly for Google accounts Airmail requires the right to "know who you are on Google", which is a lot of information my email client doesnt need, and to "manage your calendars" and "manage your contacts" even though I dont want it to do that and, again incredibly, you must let it "view users on your domain" and "view group subscriptions on your domain". There is no way to avoid these demands - the app vaguely promises to let you change permissions without specifying what you can change, but you cant change anything until after you have first agreed to give up all your private information. I paid good money for this email client, but it seems that the full price of Airmail is a HUGE sacrifice of privacy and personal information about me and my friends.

Love!

So happy with this email app and with their customer service. Sarah was very helpful this evening!

A Great iOS Email Client

Airmail is a slick email client that gets the job done. After trying almost every email app out there, this is the one that gets me through 5 email accounts efficiently every day. Picker up the Mac app as well and the setting sync has worked well. A few bugs here and there, but nothing major that Ive see. They do make it feel a bit unpolished though, so I cant quite give it 5 stars. Top notch and recommended.

Push notification not up to par

The app has great integration features. It has lots of potential to be better and work more effectively. 2 issues that standout; 1) push notifications doesnt work, I have 5 accounts from different mail servers, the app doesnt background refresh properly, as the mail badge count doesnt update usually unless I access the app and it fetches new information manually, this shouldnt be the case. 2) add contact action doesnt work in terms of syncing up to the cloud. I have my contacts set with iCloud. When I add a new contact through the mail app action. The contact gets added to the list on my phone, but doesnt sync to the cloud, which results on my other devices dont get updated accordingly. This issue needs to be fixed. As the other actions like add to calendar or add to 2do works perfectly fine and syncs up to cloud.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK!

I want to give this piece of crap minus 5 stars! It is the worst $6.99 I have ever wasted. It crashes every minute. It will not recognize my exchange account. It did not transfer all my emails over. I dont see a way to select multiple emails to trash or move. JUNK JUNK JUNK! I repeat: I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!

Lousy support

I wanted a solution to improve on iOS or macOS Mail. It just wont work with an exchange server on a local network. Even if Mail is working, even if the settings are set exactly the same. They brush you off telling you to talk to your net admin. When you tell them that you are the admin. They just stop answering. This is a hidden flaw that the developer is obviously aware of. But he prefers to take your money rather then address the issue. I for one am complaining to Apple and demanding a refund.

Super dope

I read these criticizing reviews on the latest version but decided to get it anyway cause i love the desktop version. Im glad i did cause i totally dig the mobile app n the cloud acct sync is just awesome. My life is easier now

My new favorite mail client

Very powerful mail client that is fully customizable. And with collapsible folders - take that Mail app! Love that the configuration itself can be synced via iCloud. Very responsive customer support via web site chat - thank you Steven!

Awesome app

The apps great. It has a few little bugs here and there, but their customer support is really helpful in solving them. Sarah was great!

Miles to go.. So far, no good

While running an exchange account: - Mail loading and rendering is horrible. - Bugs.. Bugs galore. - Customization options need refining.. should not negatively impact user experience - Customer service is no different. Extremely disappointed.

Not ready for prime time...

Moving things is not reliable. Often when the app is reopened things are back when they should have been filed. Oh, and gosh forbid you undo moving a thread... Ill stick with Mail until there is something better... Should also mention that interactions with support mostly resulted in "no error on our end" responses. Sorry devs, I really would not waste my time reporting things unless I wanted to help improve your app by reporting real issues. But apparently you know everything and my feedback is not welcome.

Needs work

I have Airmail for my MacBook and it works perfectly, so I decided to go for the iOS version. While it looks really good and has so many awesome features, I ended up switching back to Cloudmagic because the notifications for Airmail are not working properly. There is much potential with this app, but it needs some fixing. What good is an email app with all its cool features if it doesnt properly notify me of my incoming emails? Disappointed, but Im hopeful there will be a fix eventually.

Great substitute for apple mail

This is what apple mail should be. Great app- all advanced features are very helpful. Support staff is highly responsive (Steven).

Alright but...

The app has the potential to be great, but its unreliable with how it polls my Exchange account and the app never shows the correct unread badge count. I would hold off on buying the app until they get it sorted out...

AirMail 3 is the Worst

I have been using AirMail for sometime now and found it quite good. However the last release of version 2 and all releases of version 3 are buggy. This application is unusable, unstable and I would not recommend it until they get their act in gear. I reported problems and I get told, it will be fixed in the next release in two months - 2 months - a lifetime in the technology field. Problems are dead slow at receiving and sending emails, caching problems, replying to emails using another email, forwarding emails using another email entirely (the last two are not good if the content is not something you want to the person you replied or forwarded to see. Not good if you are using this for business or even personal uses. While AirMail contains a lot of features that I uses which are not in other email apps, I have not had to go back to using Mail (or Outlook) on all my MAC devices. Steven, from support, just shines you on - everything problem is "reinstall the application" - news flash not every problem in your application is Apples problem. Fix your application and be quick about it. The real world is not going to wait for your two months and will move right past you. Refunds should be provided to all users who paid for this piece of crap at the moment. Badger count does not update properly due to the extreme lag in polling. It has problems in polling even the simple account (iMac, gmail, etc) not to mention exchange. The scary item is its caching and its problem in mixing up email that you are replying to or forwarded - not to mention the slow typing creating an email plus it inserts a period, then a space, then capitalizes the next word. All very maddening to say the least.

Best email app Ive found

So far its the best, easy and integrated email app Ive tested! Sure theres always features wed like to implement or improvements but that will never stop! Great app
