Airmail Touch ID/Passcode Sync Issues

I forgot my Airmail passcode on my iPad Mini Retina, so deleted it, changed the passcode (tried deleting the passcode too) on my iPhone 6, restarted iPad, and it didnt sync. Not even with this new update. Its been over a week now. Its very inconvenient for me to do my work productively. Good thing support has been responsive, I always keep getting in contact with Paul. Hope this issue is set as a high priority. Seriously, I dont want have to wait over a month or two for this to be fixed. Luckily, I still have my iPhone.

Important: if you dont have Touch ID, then dont forget your passcode because if not, youre screwed.

UPDATE: I have tried deleting both apps from my iPhone and iPad and restarting the devices as suggested by Mark (from support team), but still no luck of reseting them. I had to go through the passcode screen after I installed Airmail.
