Exceelent App

Excellent App for my use on Mac-mini, Macbook Air, and Iphone 6. Pluses: 1) Fast--fast--fast sending and receiving emails! 2) Organization and layout for easy viewing of emails 3) Options--options--options! Delayed sending, read receipts using Mac plugin and on IOS devices purchased BEFORE May 11, 2017 4) Tech support-David was great at 7:00am on July 4th, 2017 Minuses: 1) Weird bug with auto-reply vacation messages Airmail is more effiecent and organized than the standard Apple Mail app that comes with the Mac and IOS devices. I cant say enough about the speed of sending and receiveing emails. I havent had a problem with syncing accros devices or adding accounts. Great layout-I hated the confusing layout on the standard app that comes with Mac and IOS devices. I also tried using the google and yahoo apps as well as their desktop mail apps. Read receipt reminders--A great option for those who get tired of hearing "I didnt get that email." Buyer beware, read receipts are only available for your Iphone and Ipad if you purchased BEFORE May 11th, 2017. On Macs you have to download and install a read receipts plugin. Delayed sending is another great option that gives you the opportunity to rethink that email before you send it. Tech support-see above. David quickly and efficiently responded to my question. Auto-reply vacation message. Whats up with that? I couldnt set up an auto-vacation reply directly in the app on any of my devices. The reply message wouldnt save on any of my devices. The work around was to go straight to my google and yahoo account pages and set up my vacation auto-reply there. Just a weird bug in an overall great app.

Has lots of features but totally unreliable

Back to the search. I had heard some good things about this app but syncing a problem and constantly freezing up. Guess I will spend my holiday removing accounts and this app.

?? unreliability outweighs useful features

Ive gone back and forth with this app in the past, but lately Ive simply stopped using it regularly – mainly because every time I do try to use it for a specific feature (such as Send Later), it almost always causes me to lose my in-progress email text. Sadly, the features-to-bugs ratio of this app hasnt noticeably improved during the past couple years Ive been using it, and the recurring loss of in-progress emails is simply inexcusable. I will continue to rely instead upon email apps with fewer features that work in a reliable manner.

500mb in 4 hours

Its use of cell data is still same, I love to use this app but it consumes too much data, please fix it.

Not what it used to be

Used to be something special. Now it doesnt even reliably delete or archive emails. They reappear randomly. Some emails cant be found within the app but in Gmail they come up right away in all mail. Started using Newton and love how fluid their swipes are. Airmail needs to take note.

Love it , Great support, Solid app!!

Love the app, best mail app purchase Ive made , syncs all my email accounts flawlessly together. Even when having issues with iCloud not syncing due to the two factor authentication that apple pushed out , I sent in a support email and got a response with the solution within 5 minutes !!!!! .. Now thats customer service !

Sad Day :(

Like many of the users, Ive had syncing/connection issues. I really appreciated the design and the features were just what I was looking for, but today I had to delete the app for good. It is aggravatingly unusable in its current state. Ive sat here for the last 30 minutes trying to delete an email from my inbox with it "working" only to show back up. If I actually connect to the account it shows no email, but airmail is still showing it... whats the use of a client that cant sync properly and thus causes you to lose productivity...

Excellent email application and outstanding support

Ive been searching for the best email application for a LONG time. I am a long-time Microsoft Outlook user and subscribe to Office 365. I own a Windows laptop, a MacBook Air laptop, an iPhone, and an iPad. Ive used Outlook on all my devices, but Outlook lacked the flexibility to handle both my Exchange account and my Gmail account to the full extent of their capabilities. I have tried to replace Outlook but to no avail. Each attempt at a replacement resulted in some dissatisfaction. Then I tried Airmail, and I must say, of ALL the applications I have used to process my emails, Airmail meets every single requirement I have. In short, Ive tried them all and Airmail has the most complete set of options Ive ever seen. Their technical support is both courteous and prompt and can be reached by chat or via email. If you ever have questions or need support, feel free to contact Sarah at Bloop S.R.L. and she will be glad to provide assistance.

iCloud fail

Simply doesnt work. Cannot login to iCloud .mac account. Useless

Disappointment

Truly great for iMac and MacBook, not so good for iPad. Poor interface and difficult to manipulate. Not worth the money on iPad.

What Happened?

Up until about 6-12 months ago this was the gold standard for Mac email clients, especially for GMail. Now, its become a disaster. The iOS version doesnt work at all. Period. No idea how they are selling this still. Like many others here, they basically broke it and outside of deleting my entire save configuration which I have meticulously configure through the years and starting over, nothing works as far as restoring it. It breaks my heart that my favorite mail client has turned into this 30 car pileup, but its true. Stay away until further notice. In the meantime, use GMails nice new IOS clients that actually work!

Miles ahead of the stock and other mail apps

As a long time user of the Mac Airmail app, Ive been wanting to give the iOS version a go. Suffice it to say, it has not let me down. The syncing of settings between the iOS version and the Mac version is quite useful, and the amount of customization and 3rd party app integration will make any power-user happy. Among the stock app, Spark, Airmail. and Outlook, Id say Airmail comes out at the top.

Great mail app!

Really great app. I use it on all my devices with 3 mail accounts and works very well. They have a great support team, too!

Buggy

This is really buggy for a paid app. Could be great but it doesnt look like it will ever be bug free.

Keeps crashing lately...

I really like my airmail, but lately, my emails keep crashing when I am reading them, and it always crashes when I delete multiple emails at once. Please fix..... Thanks

Fantastic feature set, occasionally buggy

Used this as my replacement for a while. Probably going to have to switch now. Just too many glitches. Doesnt seem to update my inboxes anymore unless I switch from one to another and back again, making it extremely annoying to use. Ive also had frequent issues with attachments not sending, so I have to use the native mail app to send attachments. Well designed otherwise, but I cant recommend it unless they fix the bugs. EDIT: had to re-enter an app-specific password from apple on all my devices. Seems to be working more reliably now. The app is otherwise awesome. Will update if I run into any other bugs.

Had to uninstall after being a long time user

Became more and more unstable, especially when it comes to refreshing, synching. Too bad.

Best email app out there

Ive been using Spark and it was good minus a few quirks. This Airmail is everything without the quirks and more! Well worth the money in my opinion. Update: Im back to using Spark again. My review went from 5 to 2 stars. The idea is great it just falls short of being a real solution. AirMail needs to go back to the drawing board and work out all bugs and build upon reliability over features.

Updated: Great app with lots of BIG problems

Updating my January 2017 Review... Over the last 2-3 months Airmail on iOS has become virtually unusable because syncing across devices has become terribly unreliable. It can take 3-4 minutes for the app to load an inbox. After deleing or archiving several messages, a few minutes later those message will return. I can look at the inboxes on iPhone, iPad, and Mac side-by-side and see three different lists of messages and three different messages counts. Like many other reviewers, Ive had to stop using Airmail on iOS. I hope they can fix these problems soon, because Id love to use it again. ----------------- Previous review: I really like Airmails concept, interface, and rapid development. But Im also afraid theyve taken on too much too quickly. There are lots of little things that pop-up and then come and go in various updates. For example, the latest update has broken the new Asana integration. Another example, while the snooze feature is awesome, its not consistent across devices. Messages snoozed on Mac often remain in the inbox on iOS, or vice versa. If you batch delete several messages on iOS, you have a 50% chance that those messages return the inbox in a few minutes or never be deleted from the Mac app. Im happy to pay for this app and would be happy to pay more if they could spend some time polishing it. Get the current features working 100% before adding anything new.
